I am happiest when I have paint under my fingernails, a pencil in my hand, or mud between my toes. I have won awards in the classroom and as a picture book author/illustrator.
I write for both children and adults and am the author of over 100 dramas and magazine articles in addition to my picture books: THE GLORIOUS FOREST THAT FIRE BUILT: winner of both the Blueberry Honor Book Award and the Eureka Honor Book Award, and SALAMANDER SONG.
